Join Hackster at FAB25 Czechia Next Week with These Discounted Tickets
If you haven't yet purchased FAB25 Czechia tickets, we have a Hackster-exclusive discount link for you and some exciting new announcements.
FAB25 Czechia is set to be Central Europe’s biggest maker event of 2025 and it kicks off next week! If you haven’t already made plans to attend, then you’re in luck, because we have a Hackster-exclusive discount link for you and some exciting new announcements.
On July 4th, FAB25 will start in Brno, Czech Republic, which is a beautiful city full of history, architecture, culture, and artistic expression. The event then ends on July 11th in Prague, which is the crown jewel of Czechia. How can attendees get from one city to the other? On The Maker Train!
The Maker Train and Hackster IoT Workshop
Unique to FAB25 Czechia, the Maker Train is the most fun way to make the journey from Brno to Prague. It is a two-and-a-half-hour ride along the rails and is an experience of its own. Those riding on the Maker Train will get to enjoy scenic vistas and conversation with fellow makers — or a nice nap.
We originally planned to host the Hackster IoT Workshop on The Maker Train. But due to limited connectivity along the route, we’ve expanded that to two workshops: one on the 7th in Brno and one on the 11th in Prague.
The workshop’s hosts are Hackster’s Jinger Zeng and the winners of the FAB25 Maker Train Evangelist Challenge, Sachin Soni, Hendra Kusumah, and Salman Faris. They’re all going to lead unique, hands-on technical workshops focused on the Nordic Thingy:91 X cellular IoT prototyping platform. Smart Citizen Kit Hackathon
This is your chance to help make a difference in the world. Hackster partnered with several other organizations, including Fab Lab Barcelona, Seeed Studio, Meshtastic, and the University of Glasgow to create the foundation on which makers around the world can build the next generation of the Smart Citizen Kit.
Fab Lab Barcelona designed the current Smart Citizen Kit 2.3 to democratize and crowdsource environmental monitoring, collecting data on air quality, noise pollution, and local weather conditions.
The goal is for the next generation of the Smart Citizen Kit to better handle collected data and analysis. The big focus is on the implementation of LoRa data transmission. Along with custom dashboards and mobile-first interfaces, that will help the new-and-improved Smart Citizen Kit make an even bigger impact.
You can help with the development by participating in the hackathon — either at FAB25 or remotely. To learn more, you can visit the Smart Citizen 3.0 Open Innovation Challenge page.
Global thought leaders speak
FAB25 Czechia has a very prestigious list of speakers ready to give presentations throughout the event. You can see many of them on the speaker list here.
Every one of those speakers is accomplished in their field, but some names are particularly well-known. Those include Josef Průša (the founder of Prusa Research), Massimo Banzi (a co-founder of Arduino), Scotty Allen (creator of the Strange Parts YouTube channel), and Dale Dougherty (president of Make Community).
There will also be several artists showcasing their work and additional speakers at Prusa Day, which will take place at the Prusa factory in Prague. Friend of Hackster and creator of the Proper Printing YouTube channel, Jón Schone, is one such speaker. There are sure to be others that aren’t currently listed on the FAB25 Czechia page, so you may be in for a pleasant surprise!
